I Can’t Forget

Posted on 24. Nov, 2009 by Olivia Bell in Romantic Poetry

Do you remember the first time
you held my hand;
gently teasing me, you held my hand
daring me to say no–
Do you remember the way
we would hold hands,
so innocently young
so in love–
Do you remember the way
I’d look into your eyes;
as if the answers lay within you,
begging you to show yourself to me
entirely–
Do you remember the first time
you [...]

Rediscovered Lovers

Posted on 24. Nov, 2009 by Olivia Bell in Romantic Poetry, Temptation

They dance around each other,
a touch of the arm,
grazing of legs under the table,
a brush of fingertips,
unbearably taunting–
The air fueled with desire,
with temptation,
with an emotion nobody has named,
and finally it ends–
Words fade into the distance,
glances turn to gazes,
brushing of fingertips turn to
moments, seconds, minutes
and at last;
they press themselves together
melting together,
hands no longer linger,
pressed against one [...]

Captured Entirely By You

Posted on 13. Nov, 2009 by Olivia Bell in Romantic Poetry

Tenderly you’d kiss me,
lips pressed against my forehead,
sometimes brushing my hand,
lingering on my head;
breathing in my natural scent,
filling me deep within your lungs,
loosing yourself in me.
Sometimes I’d catch you studying me,
if you were an artist, I would think you were painting me;
I’d wonder why you’d capture me with your eyes,
you seemed to follow me with [...]

Hold Me Tightly

Posted on 13. Nov, 2009 by Olivia Bell in Romantic Poetry

I won’t ask you,
I don’t expect anything of you,
nor will I when the sun rises;
I certainly won’t speak of this…
but please, just tonight,
when the moon is high
just tonight, hold me tight,
wipe my glistening tears away
and murmur soothing words,
just once, hold me
hold me tight.

Naked Desire

Posted on 12. Nov, 2009 by Olivia Bell in Romantic Poetry, Temptation

I long for your
tongue entwining with mine,
for your burning kisses to
drive me slowly mad,
I miss your warm and
gentle roaming hands on my skin,
your scent which lingers on me
in the aftermath of us,
the taste you leave in my mouth,
and the one feeling you leave me with,
naked desire.

What Once Was Mine

Posted on 09. Nov, 2009 by Olivia Bell in Romantic Poetry, Temptation

He stands with me,
near me, so near me…
mere feet away,
with the grace of
normality…
His body language,
warm and charming,
exuberant and welcoming.
His crew cut,
always the same,
never long enough to play with,
to dive into.
His deep white smile,
forever warm and cheeky,
unchanged.
His deep, soft voice
a familiar tune,
effortlessly outdoing
any voice, any sound in the room.
His sculptured body,
hard and strong,
soft and gentle,
mine;
all mine.
I [...]

Too Close

Posted on 08. Nov, 2009 by Olivia Bell in Romantic Poetry, Temptation

I’m too close to you,
the touches and brushes,
the shy glances and quirky smiles,
I’m getting too close to you,
I’m starting to get high,
you’re like a drug,
addicting, tempting…
You smile too sweetly,
begging for me to unwrap you,
unravel you, understand you,
you’re taunting me,
wishing me to trace every vein,
every line, every body part…
You’re here, too close,
too tempting, too irresistible,
untouchable.
