Collapse
If her world collapses, does she collapse with it too?
No!
She keeps it locked inside, & stays strong under the watchful eye of the world
She will not let the world see behind her expressionless composure
All emotions locked inside her with an iron bolt
When the doors close on the outside world, everything gives way
The room shakes, and her vision shatters into glistening water drops
Only then do dark some clouds & rain fill the night,
Only when she is behind closed doors, do the edges of her composed complexion begin to crumble,
The storm begins to rumble and the clouds begin to swirl,
Rain pelts down fast and hard, filling the land with small streams
Thunder rumbles and lightning sends light across the hills
Mother Nature is at war, so all her composure is forgotten & she gives way to it all
Piece by piece she crumbles under the force of the world
Until the morning sunrise awakes peace,
And chases away the storm, leaving in its place a wisp of hope for a calm summers day
And all composure remembered and put in place until the next midnight storm
