Electric Temptation
Our bodies,
dance around each other;
a gentle brush of the hand,
a graze of the shoulder,
warm breath on the cheek,
the skimming of thighs;
it’s electric.
Senses on red alert,
too close,
too far away,
forbidden ground;
a touch too many,
a smile too big,
eyes lock, dead on;
frisson electrifies the chilly air,
sparks ignite,
aroused desires,
temptation heightened,
silent words cut the air
“forbidden”.
Exhaling frustratedly,
forcing an end,
cutting the air with a knife,
tense expressions,
locked gazes,
a grasp of the hand,
quick breaths,
arms entwined,
tangled bodies in
violent need;
surrendered to
temptation.
