The Monster

Posted on 03. Feb, 2010 by Olivia Bell in Uncategorized Poetry

It creeps out of dark corners
it slithers into view
it crawls into my head
it slides beneath my radar–
this monster, it coaxes me
it unravels me, entices me–
you are the monster,
you are the creeper,
slithering, crawling,
unraveling, enticing–
you are the burning in my body,
you are the monster in my head,
you are the taunting in my bed–
you are the monster
who taunts [...]

Flickering Flame

Posted on 14. Jan, 2010 by Olivia Bell in Uncategorized Poetry

Something new from me… I have been slightly uninspired as of late, but here is something at last!

I haven’t had the chance to really read it through, often when I’m uninspired I can’t read it back otherwise I lose any desire to write anything else… too critical, that’s me!

But anyway, I’ll stop rambling… here is my latest piece. Please do leave a comment if you have any thoughts, that’s one of my favourite bits! Hearing what others think. :)

Rediscovered Lovers

Posted on 24. Nov, 2009 by Olivia Bell in Romantic Poetry, Temptation

They dance around each other,
a touch of the arm,
grazing of legs under the table,
a brush of fingertips,
unbearably taunting–
The air fueled with desire,
with temptation,
with an emotion nobody has named,
and finally it ends–
Words fade into the distance,
glances turn to gazes,
brushing of fingertips turn to
moments, seconds, minutes
and at last;
they press themselves together
melting together,
hands no longer linger,
pressed against one [...]

Because I Do

Posted on 16. Nov, 2009 by Olivia Bell in Uncategorized Poetry

Do you wonder about yesterday
Do you look behind yourself
and wonder what could have been done
to change the very thing that dawns on you…
Do you sometimes stare out
into the wild storms and
hope the wind will whisk your pain away
do you often hope the storm will
drown out your cries and heartbreaking
pleas to God
Do you stare out of [...]

Nod as a Gentlemen Would

Posted on 16. Nov, 2009 by Olivia Bell in Temptation

I dare not voice my desires
for the fear of laughter,
I must not express my wish
for fear of rejection plagues me,
so I force myself
through my pen and paper
to voice things
if only to myself.
Do not ask for more
and do not ask for less,
understand my desire for
gentle touches and
scorching kisses.
Dare not challenge me,
dare not ask me why,
accept me [...]

Skin Seeking Skin

Posted on 15. Nov, 2009 by Olivia Bell in Temptation

Unexplainable,
my urges to…
hold your hand
hug you tight
walk alongside you
under your arm,
to have your
beating heart
against mine.
The yearning is not
expected,
yet the more I ignored
the more I dream,
long,
beg for it,
my body craves yours.

Captured Entirely By You

Posted on 13. Nov, 2009 by Olivia Bell in Romantic Poetry

Tenderly you’d kiss me,
lips pressed against my forehead,
sometimes brushing my hand,
lingering on my head;
breathing in my natural scent,
filling me deep within your lungs,
loosing yourself in me.
Sometimes I’d catch you studying me,
if you were an artist, I would think you were painting me;
I’d wonder why you’d capture me with your eyes,
you seemed to follow me with [...]
