Tenderly you’d kiss me,
lips pressed against my forehead,
sometimes brushing my hand,
lingering on my head;
breathing in my natural scent,
filling me deep within your lungs,
loosing yourself in me.
Sometimes I’d catch you studying me,
if you were an artist, I would think you were painting me;
I’d wonder why you’d capture me with your eyes,
you seemed to follow me with [...]
I won’t ask you,
I don’t expect anything of you,
nor will I when the sun rises;
I certainly won’t speak of this…
but please, just tonight,
when the moon is high
just tonight, hold me tight,
wipe my glistening tears away
and murmur soothing words,
just once, hold me
hold me tight.
The yearning is deep,
nagging, tugging, pulling,
it never slows, never stops,
night and day, it stays;
even in dreams, it’s apparent–
I dream of all I yearn for,

it never stops, it never dulls…
