Something new from me… I have been slightly uninspired as of late, but here is something at last!

I haven’t had the chance to really read it through, often when I’m uninspired I can’t read it back otherwise I lose any desire to write anything else… too critical, that’s me!

No Barrier

They spill and cascade
dripping down my cheeks,
sweeping over my lips
the wetness a surprise
a relief;
the sniff of my nose
and the unsteady breath,
the quick rise and fall of my chest,
they’re falling
I’m weeping
and the strength in me
is lost.
I cry.

Poison

Tonight reminds me
of the love running through my veins,
and of the smile which poisoned me
with this terrible love,
the captured moments supposing
“magical” are truly
haunting;
they whip lash,
cry out at me,
slap me in my dreams
and I curse the poison
you fed me.
