hold me gently,
soothe my fears with
kind sweet words,
take your time with me,
let me build brick by brick,
allow me to trust,
don’t break your promises,
don’t lose me in your rush
take your time
I’m not going anywhere.

Rediscovered Lovers

They dance around each other,
a touch of the arm,
grazing of legs under the table,
a brush of fingertips,
unbearably taunting–
The air fueled with desire,
with temptation,
with an emotion nobody has named,
and finally it ends–
Words fade into the distance,
glances turn to gazes,
brushing of fingertips turn to
moments, seconds, minutes
and at last;
they press themselves together
melting together,
hands no longer linger,

Oh bright stars,
won’t you shine tonight
while we dance under your gaze,
hands entwined.
Oh magnificent Moon,
won’t you be full tonight
while we gaze into each others eyes
under your joyful light.
Oh whispering winds,
won’t you hush hush tonight
while we dance to your
gentle graceful tune.
Oh rainy clouds,
won’t you stay away for a while
and rain on us, as our night ends
